Mikhail was born in 1985. He grew up in Moscow, in a large family. When he was a ninth-grader, he entered the Moscow International School, where he felt an irresistible interest in art and in documentaries. When he was 15 he already started to shoot small documentary sequences. After the high school, Mikhail entered the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow and studied with the best Russian documentary movie maker, Sergey Miroshnichenko. During his studies, he started to make full-length documentaries, including the ones for the TV. He made about ten documentaries. The movie “Tuva. The Free People” is an important project made after he finished his university studies.
